Last week after the announcement that Steve Jobs was resigning from his role as CEO of Apple, there was the expected flurry of pundits claiming that the end was near for Apple and that you should sell your stocks before they crash. They’re back up now. Above the point they were before the announcement (basically back on track)

I think this is a valid point. Culture is very important in companies that are innovating. If you change the goal that your best employees were passionate about, you risk them not being passionate about the new vision. That can seriously hurt your ability to innovate and be a leader in your field.
